Traveler’s Table Menu — One Room, the Whole World

A globally inspired Montrose kitchen where a single table travels from Bangkok to Buenos Aires. Here’s the full, current menu — small plates built for sharing, region-by-region entrees, and a brunch worth setting an alarm for.

Globally inspired Built for sharing Seen on Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives

The conceit is simple: order like you’re passing plates across a border every few minutes.

I keep coming back to the way Traveler’s Table lays out its menu — not by course, but by where in the world the dish comes from. The entrees are grouped into the Far East, India & Africa; the United States & Europe; and Latin America & the Caribbean. It’s the rare Houston kitchen where “what are we in the mood for” turns into “which continent tonight,” and the small-plates format means a table of four can genuinely eat across four cuisines in one sitting.

Two dishes here earned a national spotlight: the Crispy Pork Belly in Pasilla Sauce and the Caribbean Braised Oxtails both aired on Food Network’s Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. But the quieter standouts are what keep the Montrose regulars loyal — the Hawaiian-style Mochiko Chicken, the ceviche that gets name-checked in review after review, and a brunch program that reads more like a passport stamp collection than a plate of eggs.

Below is the complete menu as it currently stands, with real prices pulled straight from the restaurant. Flip between dinner and brunch, filter for vegan plates, or search by an ingredient you’re craving.

Good to know

Traveler’s Table, answered

It’s a globally inspired restaurant in Houston’s Montrose neighborhood where the menu is organized by world region rather than by course. It’s built around shared small plates, and two of its dishes — the Crispy Pork Belly in Pasilla Sauce and the Caribbean Braised Oxtails — have been featured on Food Network’s Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives.

The two Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives dishes are the obvious starting point. Beyond those, regulars point to the Mochiko Chicken, Crab Samosas, Nigerian Suya Skewers, the Argentinian-Style Tenderloin, and at brunch the Snapper Ceviche and Duck Chilaquiles.

Yes — brunch runs Friday through Sunday, 10:00 am to 2:30 pm, and it’s a full globally themed menu with dishes like Ube Pancakes, Lobster Roll Eggs Benedict, Jerk Chicken & Waffles and Korean “Sticky” Rib Fried Rice, plus an extensive brunch cocktail list. Dinner is served daily after 5:00 pm.

Plenty. Current vegan-marked dinner plates include the Shiitake Edamame Dumplings, Watermelon & Avocado Salad, Traveler’s Table Mixed Green & Herb Salad, Mushroom Bolognese, Chiles en Nogada, and the Passionfruit-Mango Mousse. Use the “Vegan only” filter in the menu above to see them.

It’s at 520 Westheimer Rd, Houston, TX 77006, in the Montrose/Westheimer corridor, and yes — it’s well known for its patio, which is a regular highlight in guest reviews.

Current dinner small plates generally run $10 to $19, and entrees range from about $25 to $42. Because the format is designed for sharing, most tables order several small plates to pass around rather than one plate per person. During September 8–30, the restaurant is also offering a separate 3-course $50 Sky High September dinner menu.
