Dallas Restaurant Menus: Four Neighborhoods, Four Different Meals
Choose a Deep Ellum barbecue meal, a Mexican kitchen in a historic downtown building, a Design District steak dinner or a West Village brunch with music. These four menus suit different plans. Compare the dishes first, then check the branch, service time and booking details below before setting out.

Four Dallas Menus, with the Details That Change Your Plan
A barbecue counter, a Mexican restaurant, a steakhouse and a music-led brunch destination—compare the service as well as the food.

Pecan Lodge
Justin and Diane Fourton built Pecan Lodge from a Dallas Farmers Market stall into its Deep Ellum restaurant. Smoked meats, house-made sausage and Southern sides are the focus. Choose your cuts and sides before reaching the counter, and check availability if one particular meat matters to you. Monday has a shorter published service, 11 a.m.–3 p.m.; all service is subject to sellout. Holiday preorders can have a different pickup address from the Main Street restaurant.

Meso Maya
Meso Maya’s downtown restaurant occupies the historic Luna Tortilla Factory building, built in 1938 and renovated for Meso Maya in 2012. That is the building’s date, not proof that Tex-Mex itself began there. The restaurant offers Mexican cooking and a courtyard setting. Select the Downtown Dallas location for its menu, reservation and pickup links; a different Meso Maya branch can have different arrangements.

Town Hearth
Town Hearth pairs an exuberant dining room with aged steaks, seafood and open-flame cooking. The current official dinner PDF lists Rogge’s Battle Axe as a 32-ounce long-bone ribeye at $159, in a dry-aged section specifying a minimum of 45 days and presentation sliced to share. The cut’s listed weight is not an individual portion recommendation. Compare the shared steak, separately listed sides and drinks when planning the table’s total.

The Rustic
The Rustic combines a Texas kitchen, live music and a backyard patio. The Dallas branch currently serves weekend brunch Saturday–Sunday, 10 a.m.–3 p.m. Its location page offers online table reservations for parties of 1–12 and asks groups of 13–19 to call. Check the actual music calendar and booking terms rather than assuming a performance or an outdoor table at every visit.
The Backstory—and What It Means for Your Visit
The history helps distinguish these restaurants. The practical details help you choose the right meal, location and service.
Meso Maya Reuses the Luna Tortilla Factory
The City of Dallas identifies the surviving building as a Spanish Eclectic landmark constructed in 1938. Meso Maya dates its renovation to 2012. Use 1611 McKinney Avenue for the restaurant; the historic landmark record uses 1615 for the factory building.
Pecan Lodge Begins at the Dallas Farmers Market
The Fourtons’ market stall made its name before the move to Deep Ellum in 2014. Today’s restaurant is at 2702 Main Street. A holiday preorder is a separate arrangement: the preorder page specifies commissary pickup at 1618 W. Commerce Street, so follow the address in your confirmation.
Town Hearth’s Large Cuts Are Designed to Share
The current dinner menu distinguishes wet-aged individual cuts from larger dry-aged steaks presented sliced to share. The dry-aged section says a minimum of 45 days. Use the current menu to compare cut, listed weight, sides and the number of diners before deciding what represents value for your table.
Town Hearth’s Published End Times Are Last Seating
Dinner starts at 5 p.m. daily. The operator lists last seating at 9 p.m. Sunday–Monday, 10 p.m. Tuesday–Thursday and 11 p.m. Friday–Saturday. Those times describe the final seating rather than a requirement to finish eating by that minute. The official page links reservations and lists daily valet.
The Rustic’s Dallas Brunch Is a Specific Service
Brunch runs Saturday–Sunday, 10 a.m.–3 p.m. Check the music calendar for the visit you want. The Dallas location says its free parking is first-come, nearby garages offer alternatives and valet is not available. A reservation does not itself reserve a parking space or guarantee the patio.
Dallas Restaurant FAQs
Where is Pecan Lodge, and where do I collect a preorder?
The restaurant is at 2702 Main Street in Deep Ellum. The holiday-preorder page specifies commissary pickup at 1618 W. Commerce Street. Use your order confirmation for the correct pickup location; do not assume every order is collected at the restaurant.
What is historic about Meso Maya’s downtown location?
The Luna Tortilla Factory building dates to 1938. Meso Maya says it renovated the building for its restaurant in 2012. This history does not establish that all Tex-Mex cooking originated on this site. The Downtown Dallas restaurant address is 1611 McKinney Avenue.
How much is Town Hearth’s Battle Axe, and how is it aged?
The current official dinner PDF lists Rogge’s Battle Axe at $159 for a 32-ounce long-bone ribeye. It appears in the dry-aged section, which specifies a minimum of 45 days and presentation sliced to share. Sides are listed separately. Check the current menu before ordering.
When is brunch at The Rustic Dallas?
Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m.–3 p.m., at 3656 Howell Street. The Dallas location page offers online reservations for 1–12 guests and asks groups of 13–19 to call. Check the music calendar and request patio seating rather than assuming either is guaranteed.
Which restaurant suits a planned Dallas dinner?
Town Hearth is the steak-and-seafood dinner option; Meso Maya offers a downtown Mexican restaurant meal. Pecan Lodge depends on smoked-meat availability, while The Rustic adds a music-and-patio setting. Choose the neighborhood and meal format first, then use the restaurant’s current service and booking details.
About this Dallas guide
These four restaurants are a comparison of neighborhoods and meal formats, not a ranked list. The menu pages bring together the restaurant menu information collected for each listing. This guide adds branch-specific planning details checked against restaurant information and, for the Luna building, the City of Dallas landmark record. Dining-room menus, holiday pickup and event services can have different arrangements.
