The patio is the whole pitch — everything else is built to keep you on it.

Lost & Found sits on West Gray at the edge of Midtown, and the thing regulars talk about first isn’t a dish, it’s the balcony patio with downtown skyline views. Inside it’s neon-lit and loud in a good way; outside it’s the kind of place people settle into for three hours on a Saturday.

The kitchen, run by executive chef Terika Baugh, leans Southern with heavy Cajun and Gulf influence — crawfish in the dip and on the fries, a 24-hour soy-and-pineapple marinade on the ribeye, fried lobster bites, gumbo, collard greens. The bar does colorful, high-proof craft cocktails with names like Golden Cadillac and Champagne Showers.

It’s best known for two things: weekend brunchTime Out included it in a Houston best-brunch roundup, singling out the crab cake biscuit, coconut curry shrimp and grits, and sweet potato pancakes — and its weekday deals, which are unusually generous and genuinely worth planning around. That’s why the specials sit at the top of this page rather than buried at the bottom.

Before you go

Three things worth knowing

Honest practical notes, based on how the room actually runs.

Parking is valet

There’s valet at the door with some street parking around it, and the valet is paid — budget for it rather than being surprised. Rideshare drop-off is straightforward, and Metro bus stops sit nearby.

Book the patio, and book ahead

The balcony patio is the reason most people come, and weekend brunch fills up. Reserve, and say you want the patio — there’s shade to consider in a Houston summer.

Check the happy hour list

Happy hour runs Mon–Fri 4–7pm, but not every signature cocktail is included at the discounted price. Ask which drinks are on the happy hour list before ordering so the bill matches expectations.

Good to know

Lost & Found, answered

Lost & Found is at 160 W Gray Street, Houston, TX 77019, in Midtown, and the phone number is (832) 649-3050. It’s known for its balcony patio with downtown skyline views.

Happy hour runs Monday through Friday, 4pm to 7pm. Note that not every signature cocktail is necessarily included at the happy hour price, so it’s worth asking which drinks are on the list when you order.

The seafood boil is a Tuesday and Wednesday only special. Those two days also fall inside the restaurant’s weekday food specials, which run Monday through Wednesday. Use the checker at the top of this page to see what’s running today.

Yes — brunch is served Saturday and Sunday, 11am to 5pm, with its own menu of brunch plates, mimosas, cocktails, hot drinks and shots. It’s one of the restaurant’s best-known services; Time Out featured it in a Houston best-brunch roundup, highlighting the crab cake biscuit, coconut curry shrimp and grits, and sweet potato pancakes.

The Fried Lobster Bites with honey sriracha are the signature order. Beyond those, the Hawaiian Ribeye (marinated 24 hours in house-made soy and pineapple), the Cajun Pasta, the Shrimp & Crawfish Dip and the Fried Ribs with Hennessy BBQ sauce come up most often.

Monday to Thursday it runs until midnight, Friday and Saturday until 2am, and Sunday until 11pm. Doors open at noon on weekdays and 11am at weekends, so it works as a late-night spot as well as a dinner one.

There is a vegetarian plate on the menu, and the Cajun Pasta and salads work without meat. It’s a Southern and seafood-heavy kitchen overall, so vegetarians have options but not a large section — and it’s worth confirming preparation with your server.
